Kelley Baker came to Harding & Shultz after serving as legal counsel for the Nebraska
Association of School Boards for seven years. He brought his interest
in schools with him, and now represents more than 100 school districts
and education institutions throughout Nebraska. Kelley says that
education law is a delight because he works with excellent board
members and administrators, and a challenge because the discipline
encompasses a broad variety of legal areas. Kelley applied and enhanced
his knowledge by teaching graduate level education law courses for
the Department of Education Administration at the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln for six semesters, and by continuing to lecture
to graduate classes at University of Nebraska campuses and state
colleges. When away from the office, Kelley spends his spare time
with his family. Because of his interest in older adults, he serves
as the president of the Board of Directors of the Seniors Foundation,
an organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older
Nebraskans.
